Sadly as of 17th March 2020 due to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak the Archbishops have temporarily suspended all public worship until further notice. This means there will no Sunday or midweek services at St Anne’s. However Rev Dave and Rev Richard will continue to prayer daily for our community and country. If you would appreciate someone to prayer for you or someone you know then please email your prayer request to firstname.lastname@example.org or call the Vicarage on 01909 570434. Live streaming and a daily thought for the day will be available on our facebook feed @StAnnesChurchWorksop. Do take care and we will see you soon.
8.00a.m. Holy Communion/Morning Prayer
Book of Common Prayer. A traditional said service of a reflective nature.
At this Communion service we use the 1662 Prayer Book with its formal but lyrical language. There is no singing. There is a sermon by one of the Ministry Team who always wears robes. The service is quiet and reflective and lasts about 45 minutes. 1st & 3rd Sundays at 8:00 AM.
On the 2nd and 4th Sundays the service uses the Morning Prayer service from the book of common prayer.
Sundays at 10.30a.m. Family Communion/Morning Prayer
Common Worship forms the basis for this service and the language is fairly formal but more contemporary. The atmosphere is relaxed though leaders and preachers do wear robes. A mixture of classic hymns and more modern songs are sung to the accompaniment of the organ or electric piano, with the words projected onto screens. After the service – which lasts about an hour and a quarter – refreshments are served in church. 2nd & 4th Sunday Holy Communion lasts approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes and on the 3rd Sunday a service of morning prayer.
