Reverend Dave Gough
VicarDave was born, bred and educated in Sheffield and after leaving school with A-Levels had several jobs, including working for Nether Edge hospital, the Crown Prosecution Service and Norwich Union before moving to HSBC Bank. He worked there for 12 years and during his time was a trainer and a manager as well as visiting India on several occasions to train staff.
He felt called to full-time ministry within the church whilst working for HSBC and after selection trained at St John’s College, Nottingham for two years. His curacy was served at St John’s, Park in Sheffield for two and a half years before moving to St James, Woodhouse, where he was the Vicar for the six years before moving to St Anne’s in 2017.
Dave is married to Verity with two boys and Colin the dog. -

Sarah Prior
Church WardenSarah works in a busy office, runs a tight ship at home with her husband and two boys and still makes sure the church and hall are always kept in top condition. She always finds time to make sure Rev Dave is doing what he should be doing!

Lianne Stones
Licensed Lay Minister (Reader)Lianne works as a mortgage advisor, is married to Nigel and much of her spare time is taken up spoiling her grandchildren. She became a
licensed Lay Reader at Southwell Minister in October 2020, after two years of study through the Diocese. She is excited about where God is leading her on her journey of faith and has recently begun to explore a bereavement ministry within the church. -
Claire Bishop
Family & Children Team LeaderClaire was formerly a TA in a primary school and joined the St Anne’s team in May 2021. She has a passion to see children grow in faith and confidence and has a vision to see families worshipping together.

Parish Safeguarding OfficerTracey is currently working in a local school as a office manager and understands day to day safeguarding matters and procedures.

Nigel Stones
SSM CurateNigel has recently retired and has been a reader at St Anne’s since 2016. In July 2023 he was ordained deacon at Southwell Minster and continues to serve at St Anne’s as a self supporting minister.

Church WardenAndy currently runs a bike fit business, having previously competed at the elite level in British Cycling and Triathlon.

Selina Archer
Youth Team LeaderSelina joined the St Anne’s team in September 2021 and brings with her a vast experience of working with young people, both in a paid and voluntary role. She is Mum to 3 children and has a passion to see Young People released into their own journey of faith with God and to find their role in God’s kingdom.

Edith Iheama
CurateEdith joined St Anne’s after her ordination at Southwell Minster in July 2023. She is Mum to 3 children and is very much looking forward to living and working in Worksop.

Beverley Thorpe
Licensed Lay Minister (Reader)Beverley was licensed as LLM in October 2021 and heads up our ministry to the Old Vicarage Care Home and our Welcome Space on a Wednesday afternoon. Her pastoral heart for people always shines through and is keen to welcome all to Jesus with a warm smile, a prayer and most definitely a ‘Cuppa!’
